Net Amount

Net Amount feature is one of its kind, which you won't find in any other Stock Portfolio Management System. It allows to adjust Buy / Sell prices against the other expenses that incurred (such as Stamp Duty, Brokerage, STT etc., ) for the Stock Transactions. All the expenses are distributed / adjusted equally to all of your Buy / Sell Transactions.

Enter the Final Net Amount,

       - Positive Amount (If the Net Amount is Credit to You or receivable to your trading account ledger)

       - Negative Amount (If the Net Amount is Debit from You or Payable / Deductible from your trading account ledger)

Once you have the Net Amount Entered and then pressed "Submit" button, all your transaction (Both Buy & Sell Transactions) prices are adjusted automatically as per the Final Net Amount you have entered.

These examples would provide more understanding

Example 1:

Buy Transaction : 2 DLF Limited shares brought for Rs 200 each. But due to Stamp Duty and STT, Let say the final Net Amount is Rs 404 Dr (Debit).

Then by providing Net Amount as "-404", Buy Price for the 2 DLF Shares are adjusted automatically from Rs 200 to Rs 202 to reflect the other expenses in your Stock Transactions also.

Example 2:

Buy Transaction : 2 DLF Limited shares brought for Rs 200 each.

Sell Transaction: 1 Reliance Industries Limited share sold for Rs 850.

So your Net Amount = -400 + 850 - 5 (Stamp Duty + STT) = Rs 445 Cr (Credit)

Then by providing Net Amount as "445" and then clicking submit would adjust the Stock Transaction prices as follows,

As you can see,

DLF Buy price is adjusted as Rs 200.80 instead of Rs 200.00

Reliance Sell Price is adjusted as Rs 846.60 instead of Rs 850.00

Where the adjusted Net Price are the actual cost for you in making these Stock Transactions.

Tip: This Net Amount will help you in calculating the actual real numbers for the Profit & Loss Statement.

Now Click "Submit" to proceed for adding Stock Transactions to your portfolio. Else "Cancel" to make changes on your Buy / Sell Transactions.
